Simple Minds Book a call

What happens in the first week

Projects go wrong quietly in the first week more often than in the last one. Here is what we do in ours.

Day one: kickoff and access

We collect what we need to start — brand files, content, analytics and hosting access — and set up the private link where you will review everything. You meet the designer and engineer assigned to the work, not an account manager.

Day two to four: structure before style

We agree the page or screen structure first. It is much cheaper to move a section now than after it has been designed and built, and the conversation is clearer when nobody is distracted by colour.

Day five: the first real screens

You see actual screens at the end of the first week, on the review link, and we take your notes on them. From there the project runs in two-week stretches, each one ending in a review.
